Kiwanis Nut Sale at Kings in Chatham Boro held on November 23, 2013

Stu Shippey (left) and Alan Robertson brave the cool, windy weather to sell nuts at the Kings store on Main Street in Chatham, NJ. Proceeds go to scholarships and other community projects. Other members took their turn on November 23 and sold almost $800 worth of fine nuts.

The nut sale planned for ShopRite on November 24 was cancelled because of the dangerously cold and windy weather that day.

Kiwanis Simon Show 2013 a HUGE SUCCESS

Famous magician Simon Mandal presented an hour of hilarious family entertainment on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Chatham United Methodist Church. Sponsored by Chatham-Madison Kiwanis Club, this delightful show mystified and delight children 4 and up, and adults. The show combined dazzling magic with hilarious family-friendly comedy. Kiwanis 2012 Pasta Dinner - a grand time for all

On October 18, 2012 hundreds of spaghetti and meat ball dinners were served by Chatham-Madison Kiwanis with the help of 37 volunteers from sponsored youth service clubs, including the Drew University Circle K Club, Chatham High School Key Club and Chatham Middle School Builders Club.  Everyone had a happy time and funds were raised for community youth activities and scholarships.

Kiwanis June 9 Pulled Pork Fundraiser at Fishawack a Success

At the June 9, 2012 Fishawack Festival, David Lloyd, Stu Shippey, Karen Shippey and Tom Mullin were photographed working at the Kiwanis Pulled Pork booth. Tom managed the Kiwanis fundraiser and many Kiwanians donated a lot of time to the project. Over 200 sandwiches were sold. The delicious BBQ was created under the direction of John Hadamuscin, famous chief and book author.

35th annual Fish and Chips Dinner held on March 30, 2011

The Fish and Chips fund-raising event was very successful with 400 dinners served. Over forty Kiwanis members worked and seventeen Key Club and Builders Club members helped out.

Wine-Tasting: Wines from Around the World

Chatham-Madison Kiwanis will hold the “Wines from Around the World" Wine Tasting event to benefit Kiwanis Chatham and Madison High School Scholarship Funds and the ECLC Foundation for Developmentally Disabled. The event will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm in Grace Episcopal Church, 4 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ 07940.  Wine samples from a variety of vineyards and food from a local restaurant will be served.  There will also be a 50-50 drawing, a “tricky-tray” auction of contributed items and door prizes. Advanced admission tickets may be purchased in-person at a price of $50.00 (cash or checks made out to “Chatham Kiwanis Scholarship Fund”) by visiting Main Street Wine Cellars, 300 Main Street, Madison, NJ 07940. At 2010 Fishawack Kiwanis pulled pork sandwiches are a huge success

In this photo, Melanie Sze serves our first sandwich to a man who ran in the Jaycee sponsored Fishawack Run. Before the day was over, almost 300 sandwiches were sold to delighted customers.

Long lines developed at times. Unfortunately for people who came last, we ran out of pork. Next time we will have to make more.

Kiwanis prepares for selling pork BBQ at Fishawack Festival

Kiwanis sold John Hadamuscin's Famous Pulled Pork Sandwiches at the Fishawack Festival, Saturday June 12, 2010. Friday June 11, John and six other Kiwanis volunteers shredded 75 pounds of pork after cooking it many hours. John will also provide cole slaw and brownies. Madison High School Key Club Pots O' Gold

The Madison High School Key Club just finished a fund raiser for Children's Specialized Hospital. In the week preceding St. Patrick's Day, during lunch periods, Key Club members sold Pots O' Gold for $.50. The purchasers designated who would receive each Pot, and the actual Pots were delivered during announcement time on St. Patrick's Day. The concept is similar to a candy gram idea.

They sold about 100 Pots. The money will go to Children's Specialized Hospital, and all of MHS will be more festive by the presence of the little Pots O' Gold.
