Hazel England (left in photo), Director of Education and Outreach for the Great Swamp Watershed Association presented "Why Should We Care about The Swamp?" at the February 25 meeting of Chatham-Madison Kiwanis. She was introduced by Dick Plambeck, right in the photo. The program covered the history of the Great Swamp Watershed Association, how it relates to the Friends of the Great Swamp and the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge itself, the scientific and educational programs they perform and how things impacting the swamp also impact us, including our drinking water supplies. The program focused how important it is to protect our water resources.

The audience enjoyed the informative program and supported the important work of the Great Swamp Watershed Association. To learn more, please visit their website:  http://www.greatswamp.org/
